Quote for the Moment

We doubt something that is good. Just this one awareness is good enough to snap you out of it!

We doubt something that is good. Just this one awareness is good enough to snap you out of it!
 -Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Every child should be taught mental hygiene – that is non-violence.

If we do any work with anger, hatred, jealousy, feeling of revenge etc. in mind, then that is an act of violence.

Unanswered questions ferment in the mind and become violence.

We need to infuse in the hearts and minds of people, the value of non violence.

Our lives will take a new direction if we take pride in non-violence, compassion and service.

Multi-cultural and multi-religious education, education in non-violence, and education in spiritual values is essential in the world. If this education is given, we can avoid many future disasters.

Violence cannot be stopped by violence. It has to be stopped by wisdom. Only wisdom can stop violence.

Violence cannot quell violence, only wisdom can stop violence.

If you’re well and happy you will not be violent. When someone engages in violent activity, know that behind the violence there is anger and frustration.

Peace education is missing in the world. If every child is taught the way to manage his own emotions and his own mind stuff, the world would be a much better place. You may not be able to eliminate violence totally, but you can reduce it to the minimum level.

A violence free society, a disease free body, a confusion free mind, an inhibition free intellect, a trauma free memory, and a sorrow free soul. Let us all work towards making it a reality, and that is what Art of Living is committed to doing.

It is absolutely necessary now to induct peace education in all our curriculum so that no child on this planet grows up thinking that he is doing the job of God by engaging in bloodshed and violence.
