The fastest mode would have been a helicopter from Dehradun to Harsil, but minus chai from roadside shops overlooking the mesmerising sunset hued hillside. Driving in an Innova was cool and cheap!
Just 24 km from Gorakhpur, Maghar is a quiet town, connected by the state highway from Gorakhpur. In the month of May, the highway roadside was lined with desi and hybrid watermelons.
I received prasad of peda and paan after darshan of Ram Lala at Ram Mandir, Orchha. There are beautiful wall paintings in this temple, depicting the Queen of Orccha as a mother to the deity.
