Visiting Guwahati, do not miss The Art of Living Ashram on banks of River Brahmaputra
The Art of Living Guwahati Ashram lies not far from Ma Kamakhya temple. The grand river Brahmaputra adds its persona to the ashram, where people come to spend time in meditation.
The ashram has two halls, used for courses, meditation and satsang, separate residential quarters for teachers and visitors, a kitchen and dining hall and a kutir for Gurudev. Gurudev’s kutir is a two storey structure with Gurudev’s room below and a hall above where he meets visitors on his visits. The kutir and hall overlook the river. The green surroundings are beautiful :)
The vegetarian food at the ashram is a delight.
How to Get There:
Located 12 km from the city center, the quickest way to the Guwahati Campus is by road. Or, get off at Kamakhya railway station and take a taxi.
