It is the state of our Mind

August 21, 2010 08:25 by nitin

It is the state of our mind that makes our happiness or unhappiness. If that inner state is adjusted and corrected, then nothing has the power to give us any experience except that which we give it.

July 21, 2010 06:17 by anisha

Graded approach to mental growth

June 23, 2010 05:09 by anisha

You should increase the strength of your body and then increase the strength of your mind.

The best way to increase mental power is to try to accomplish something worthwhile every day. Choose some worthy task or project that you have been told you could not do, and try to do it. Each strive to accomplish something that you have always thought you could not accomplish.

Why the current system of education doesn’t work

May 5, 2010 06:12 by nitin
Trinity College Library, Dublin

The present system of education is all wrong. The mind is crammed with facts before it knows how to think. Control of the mind should be taught first. If i had my education to get over again and had my voice in the matter, I would learn to master my mind first, and then gather facts if I wanted them. It takes people long time to learn because they cannot concentrate their mind at all.

How to go beyond the thinking mind

April 10, 2010 01:08 by anisha

"Those who remain on the thinking level do not get the opportunity to see what they are within."

~ Swami Rama

Breathing exercises, pranayam, sudarshan kriya, and total devotion to the divine are tested methods to go beyond the chaos and conflicts of the thinking mind :-)

Prayer, meditation, contemplation – Swami Rama

Points from the video…

It’s the language of love. You see how a new born baby communicates with her mother.

When we become one-pointed. That prayer never goes in vain. More...

A mistake is a mistake, not mine or his

March 15, 2010 01:24 by anisha

See a mistake as a mistake. Not as a 'my' or 'his' mistake.

‘My’ means guilt. ‘His’ means anger.
