Radha Krishna Prana Mora Jugal Kishora

Heard this song for Shayan arti on the festival of Ugadi at the Iskcon temple, Bangalore :-) It is called Sakhi Vrunde Vigyapti, a request to Sri Radha Krishna's Sakhis/friends. This Bengali song by Sri Narottama Das Thakura describes a devotee's longing to serve Sri Radha Krishna.

Lyrics: Radha Krishna Prana Mora

Radha-Krishna prana mora jugala-kiśora
Jeevane marane gati aro nahi mora ||1.||

Sri Sri Radha and Krishna are my life. In life or death I have no other refuge but Them.

Kalindeera koole keli-kadambera vana
ratana-bedīra upara bosābo du'jana ||2.||

In a forest of small kadamba trees on the bank of river Yamuna, I will seat the divine couple on a jeweled throne.

Shyaama-gaure-ange dibo candanera gandha
Chamara dhulaabo kabe heri mukha-chandra ||3.||

I will offer Sri Krishna and Radha's dark and fair forms with sandalwood paste scented with cuya, and fan Them with a chamara whisk. Oh, when will I behold Their moonlike faces?

Gaathiya maalatir maala dibo dohar gale
Adhare tuliya dibo karpura-taamboole ||4.||

I will string garlands of malati flowers to offer around the necks of Sri Radha Krishna, and then  offer tambula (paan) scented with camphor to Their lotus mouths.

Lalita Vishakha-aadi jata sakhi-brinda
Agyaaya koribo seva charanaravinda ||5.||

With permission of all the sakhis, headed by Lalita and Visakha, I will serve the lotus feet of Sri Radha and Krishna.

Shree-Krishna-Chaitanya-prabhur daaser anudaasa
seva abhilaasha kore narottama-dasa ||6.||

Narottama dasa, the servant of the servant of Sri Krishna Caitanya Prabhu, longs to serve the divine couple Sri Radha Krishna :-)
